What happens after you make a vehicle claim?

Choice of repairer

All we require is one written quotation from a repairer of your choice to be forwarded to our office. 

Authorising repairs

You must not authorise repairs (other than emergency repairs limited to $500) without our prior consent.

We may need to inspect your vehicle before our consent is given, if so an assessor will be appointed to provide a report.

Excess payment

You will be advised by us as to when and how much you need to pay for an excess when you make a claim.  

No claim bonus

We will be solely responsible in deciding whether or not your no claim bonus entitlement will be affected by the claim

Guarantee and warranty

We guarantee materials and workmanship on repairs we authorise for as long as you own the vehicle.

Total loss

If your vehicle is a total loss and we agree on a settlement amount then the salvage including all its accessories  will become our property including the proceeds from  the sale of the salvage.
